Sponsor Licence Processing
80% of applications are dealt with in less than 8 weeks. UKVI may need to visit your business for a pre licence audit and it may take longer to process the licence should the audit come back with some concerns.
In some cases, you may be able to pay £500 to get a decision within 10 working days. This is called the Pre-licence Priority Service.
Pre-Licence Priority Service processing time
You have 72 hours to pay the fee. If you are unable to pay within the timeframe you will be required to commence the request again.
If your request has been successful, you will get your licence considered within 10 working days after payment has been received. However, if the request is of a more complex nature it may take longer. Please bear in mind that the priority service does not guarantee success.
Processing times for Priority Skilled Worker and Temporary Worker Change of Circumstances
You can use the priority change of circumstances for the following reasons:
- Requesting additional certificate of sponsorship allocation
- Requesting annual certificate of sponsorship allocation
- add a new level 1 user
- change level one user
- replace the authorising officer
- amend the authorising officer
- replace the key contact
- amend the key contact
- add a representative
- amend your organisation details – moved to new premises
Eligible requests that have successfully made payment will be considered within 5 working days.
The 5 working days consideration period begins the following working day from when the payment is made. For example, if you were to make a payment on Monday, the 5 working day timescale will begin on Tuesday. The UKVI may take longer to consider your request if the request is of a more complex nature usually surrounding company structure changes etc. The charge for the service is £200 per request.
